SAM® Chest Seal

SAM® Chest Seal Combo is an advanced chest seal set designed to control air inflow and outflow between the chest cavity and the external environment by closing open (absorbent) chest wounds.

It is used primarily in TCCC and emergency medicine applications to reduce the risk of post-traumatic pneumothorax and provide rapid and effective respiratory management in the field. It offers high adhesion performance even under challenging conditions such as extreme heat, cold, blood, sweat, and hairy surfaces. Its large, oval, and transparent structure provides a wider closure area and allows for wound monitoring. It is among the products recommended for the management of absorbent chest wounds in the "R - Respiration" component of the TCCC MARCH protocol.
